The morning run wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t that great either. I was having some discomfort in my stomach and a bit in my chest as well. I made the most of it though and pushed through some exhaustion. Afternoon grass was nice on the softball field. They’ve done some good things with that grass. Good day of running today. Keep Carson in your prayers because he wrecked his back, butt and ankle. At least it wasn’t a toothache.

Weights for the first time in a bit felt rather nice, especially the bench, which is always my toughest lift. Afternoon was blazing hot, but still a nice run with some sand. It was also pretty hilly, and it felt great to go strong up some longer hills. Clutch day of running and I’m looking forward to a strong workout tomorrow. 

Weights- Squat 3x5 of 225; Bench 3x5 of 115; Deadlift 3x5 of 155

PM over 1:06:13; 7:05ish pace

Pretty physically stressful day. Morning run with plyos then a really tough workout on grass in the afternoon. 7x 3 min at M shape rotation of 3, 5, and 8k pace, all w/ equal recovery. First three were pretty dang good, but I really, really had to struggle in the second half, especially the last two reps. Thought about quitting numerous times, but didn’t; I’m really glad I stuck in there. It’ll let my body know it needs to get down to business, and the postseason isn’t a time to relax. Good day to run

Weights was a bit tough this morning because my pecs and quads are pretty sore. Afternoon was a nice reverse shoe run. I found a bag of lifesaver gummies and, honestly, I thought they were fine. But coach disagreed, so he took them and chucked them and Dylan kicked them down a sewer. I was just a little ticked off. Oh well. We’ve got a long run tomorrow, so I’ll need to be prepared for that. 

Weights- Squat 3x5 of 225; Bench 3x5 of 115; Thrust 3x5 of 115; Calf raises 3x5 of 70
