It was a really tough day for running. The initial reason was that I had choir at 6:45 this morning, so Dallen, Xander and I had to meet at 4:50 and do the first half of our run before anyone else. The other reason was on the second half of the morning run, as I started the 3 minute pickup, I started to get a rare side-ache. It just kept flaring throughout the duration of the second half. That would explain the slow pace. It's all good though. It's runs like these that make me appreciate when I'm feeling really good. Also, my newest New Balance test shoes got here today, and they're actually pretty sweet. I'll have to share how I feel about them as I actually get to using them.

Tough, but awesome day for running. Coach moved the workout up a day. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure it has something to do with the meet this weekend. Anyway, the workout was 15 min. warm with last 5 min. at easy tempo. We then jumped into 4x 1200m w/ equal recovery at CV. This was a really tough workout, I'd say, for everyone involved. But championships don't come easily. My group hit each split really well. I think we only had one lap that we got 1:28, but that's just at the slower end of our range. The rest were either right on, or even a few seconds quick. Really proud of my team today. let's go kick some butt this weekend. #wearbrownpantsonfriday

Only got the one run in today. I'm at least glad I was thinking enough to do the longer run in the morning, knowing that I would be busy after school with choir stuff. Tomorrow will be a better day though.

Good day for running. In the afternoon, it was raining pretty good for a minute or two and actually pretty cold, but it blew over by the time Coach was finished telling us some meet info. Did the shoe run and caressed the Eagle's beak. Tomorrow is the first day of the Pine View invitational; I'm pretty dang excited. Day 1 I'm running the 400m and the rare 4x800m relay with Logan, Alex and Xander. Should be a good race and I'd say we have a decent chance at breaking the school record on this one; we'd have to run an average of about 2:03 a piece. Good luck to everyone racing this weekend!

Pine View Invitational (0.249 Miles) 00:00:55, Place overall: 35 | | AM over 25:04; 7:20 pace- usual morning route
Today was the first day of the Pine View Invitational. I had two races today: the 400m and the 4x800m relay. The 400 was only alright with a 55.44. I didn't feel very good throughout the race and my finish wasn't like it usually is. The 4x800 was just a little better. We took third behind two good teams, Orem and Timpanogos, but it still wasn't a very quality race on our part. I'd say we just simply weren't aggresive enough; we'll learn as we do this race again at the Distance Carnival.

Pine View Invitational (0.497 Miles) 00:02:06, Place overall: 12 | | Today was the second day of the Pine View Invitational. It just a bit better than yesterday. Today I had to more races: the 800m and the 4x400m. The 800 felt really good, but the time didn't quite reflect the feeling. I ended up with a 2:06.46 and second on the team behind Alex who ran a heck of a race. The 4x400 didn't go so well. Samson was supposed to be our anchor, but his body wasn't feeling quite up to it, so Parker took his spot. It was going pretty well, until Parker took off too fast to take his handoff and just barely left the exchange zone; We got DQed. I guess it's whatever. Overall, I would say it wasn't a very great meet for me, but I'm definitely gonna change that.
