Shoutout to Robs for making a killer workout. Of course we did this on the river trail. 4x 5 min sets, each decreasing recovery by 1 min (1 min CV, 4 min rec., then 2 min CV, 3 min rec., etc.). It stressed the point of digging at the end of races when we're tired. Well I think we all had to dig deep on the last, 4 min CV set. I sure as heck had to. But it was a quality workout that I pushed through.

Dope run down River Rd. with the bros. We took this run really quick and Alex was not happy. He declared to us that he was quitting. Hope we can persuade him to change his mind.

Last run of the season. Adventure run through UVU campus. We searched all over for the secret, underground tunnels, only to find clues without success. Never give up. After our striders, we found some bird eggs on the field of the UVU track. We did not smash them.

AM over 30:01; 8:01 pace- run through Ted Bundy trail

PM Utah State Championships 3A Medley (800m leg)

Sadly, this was not a great race. Jacob got it started off really well and handed off to Michael who didn't run amazing, but he still had a good leg. Then Colin's 400m was not his best. We were second to last when I got the baton. I don't know why, but I think I checked out mentally at that point. It didn't take long for me to get passed by the Bear River kid, who was actually a really great runner (I think he took 2nd in the open 800m) Not a very good way to end the season, but what a great season it was. I'm freaking stoked for XC. Time for my two-week break.
