AM over 1:15:56; 7:14 pace; 1, 2, 1, 2, 1 min, fartleks with 3 min. recovery

Super dope run this morning with some of the bros. We decided to do the marathon course, so we started right below Snow Canyon State Park. We were flying down the course, so we had to extend just a bit at the end. The fartleks were easy and the weather was great. Overall, pretty cheese as far as long runs go.

Took a run to coaches house and helped him move some rocks. He told us they were big and heavy, but we didn't know they were that big and heavy. It took some hard work to get them just right, but nevertheless, we got it done. He seemed glad to get it done.

AM over 24:56; 7:13 pace; usual morning route

PM over 65:00; 7:15ish pace; track workout

Came to morning practice with the team a little confused because Caroline told some of us that practice was at 6 and that we were doing the workout in the morning. But that was just for the girls. Earlier today, I had mixed emotions about the workout; I was excited to do a tough workout, but I thought I was gonna have to do it on my own because of another commitment. However, I managed to get out of it, and boy am I glad I did. I needed my bros for this one. We started with 3x 1000m at CV(3:35) w/5 min recovery. We hit those maybe a little harder than we should have, coming out 5-10 seconds quick on each of them. Next, we had the important part of the workout with 4x 400m at 1600m pace(1:13) w/2 min recovery. I beat the crap out of those; first repeat was right on and I got faster each time, working down to a 1:10 on the last two. Then to finish it off, 4x 200m at 800m pace(:30) w/2 min recovery. I gained a lot of confidence from these. After coming out 2 seconds slow on the first one, I realized how much I needed to get after the 200's. Crushed the next three with :29, :28, and :28. This was a KILLER workout, but it gave me a lot of confidence that I'll do something incredible this weekend.

We were supposed to have the first annual 420 invitational at practice this afternoon, but coach made us put out flyers for the Southern Utah Half. Bumma

PM Dixie Invitational 400m

This was my best 400m in a while, both time and feeling. Came out with a 54.32. Felt good on my last 100m, unlike the last two. Gets me pretty dang excited for the 800m tomorrow.

Dixie Invitational 800m

I definitely will not forget this race. In abridgement, I ran an unbelieveable initial 750m and a very very very bad last 50m. Ended up with a 2:02.32 and the worst physical feeling of my life. I truly gave it everything I had physically and I'm going to learn from this race. I will state qualify in the 800m!
