Felt really good in the morning. Also felt good in the afternoon, but we did go pretty slow. It’s alright though; I think it was needed. We did the classic kick-it route. It was nice to see the girls at Forest Park, but Jacey got herself a nice, deep cut on some barbed wire. It was actually pretty dope.
Funny Thing I Heard Today- “You know what they say about guys with big water bottles? Big hydration.” Also “I think that’s muscle.”

I was super tired at school today. But I was excited for the race today. It was my first 3200, and it was pretty alright. I could’ve ran a pretty good mile. I started to feel it into the 5th lap, so that’s where I’ll have to learn to push. Got me excited for track.

One of the quicker 25 minute runs with some yoga after. The afternoon run was pretty dang tough actually. We took it down into the fields and it’s always fast running down there. Had a really good pace throughout and actually went a little further than we should’ve. I got a side ache alon the way back after a bathroom stop. It’s all good though.

Nearly overslept, but woke up miraculously. The workout was just a bit tougher than I thought it would be. But it still wasn’t too bad. There was one moment that my legs felt like the Dixie 800, but it didn’t last, so that was good. My hands were pretty cold.

Excellent, excellent morning run. It was probably my best long run ever. We took it hard on the way back. There were a few times when I thought stopping would be nice and a good idea, but I knew I’d feel better with myself if I persisted, so that’s what I did. Afternoon was a good grass run where we focused on better form. We learned a lot of good things.

Very productive session on weights this morning after I started out not being able to find clamps. The afternoon run was a Green Springs loop in which I was very satisfied with how I felt. That’s really all in the running department.

Super cold this morning, but still a good run. Workout in the afternoon and this was an excellent workout for me. I kept the pace very well and even pushed it at times, my form was pretty good, I think, for the most part, and I kept going when I was exhausted. Felt great to have a solid workout from beginning to end.

Ran before a killer weights session. Squats felt especially good. Afternoon was alright since we did one of my favorite routes. Good day to run.
We’ve got the XC banquet tonight and I’m just realizing that I’m a senior. I’m not gonna cry or anything like that, but I’ll just say I made the right decision to become a runner. It’s been amazing so far thanks to my best friends and great coaches. I’ve loved every minute and I’m only going to get better as a runner and as a person.

Went and helped with Alex’s current issues project. We did some good work on mustang pass. It was pretty tough, but not as hard as running with a shovel. Jose said running with the tools probably made up for the rest of our time, so I believed him.

Good day of running. Excellent morning run, but on the colder side. We did the parkway loop. Afternoon was some good barefoot grass as usual. I just feel really fresh and ready to kill it at Nike. I’m also ready to shave my mustache.
While I’m on the subject of doing good, I’ll make a declaration: I am a runner. I will also be a great runner. Everything that I do athletically will be based around that, no matter what others want me to do or what I’ve done in the past. I am a runner.

No weights this morning, just a run. Afternoon wasn’t amazing, but also wasn’t awful. The workout was much harder than I imagined it would be. I held it really well on the first 4 reps and even did pretty well on the 5th. But I had to really grind just to finish the last, 4 minute rep. We did this same workout, just a little shorter, right before state this last track season, and it was just as tough then. Coach Robs told us to express something to another teammate what they bring to the team. I told Logan he was the foundation of the team. I would also have to tell Carson that he’s the one we look to for strength, and Alex steps up when we need him most.

Ran on my lonesome this morning for trilogy. Afternoon was a super chill, hilarious shoe run. Alex went to place our gift on the Ellsworth’s porch and Brother Ellsworth, my seminary teacher, must’ve heard us coming because he flew through the door right as Alex was placing the gift. He got the crap scared out of him. I’m pumped to head out tomorrow. It’s gonna be a dope trip with some excellent racing.

Two good runs today. We left for Nike at lunch and it was a pretty good drive. I had a grand slamwich at Denny’s and fulfilled a dream I’ve always had. It was a really good day with a really good end. I’m glad I’ve gotten so consistent in blogging.

First time in a long time both runs were under 7 minute pace. It was finally chilly for the afternoon run. It was actually a pretty tough run with some hill repeats. We did them on the gravel hill on the south side of Telegraph, down by Family Dollar. I think I’m going to start my break after the dream mile tomorrow, because I’m not going to footlocker.

Nice cold morning run today, and the last of my senior XC season. Today was a great way to end my year, and a pretty dang good transition into track. Ended up with a 4:49, 4 or so seconds behind my good bud Carson. I’m gonna break this record.
Tonight, I became the newest Eagle Scout of America. Very glad I made this push, and it was worth it.
